Outdoor vending is a tough way to make money because of the uncontrollable elements one must overcome or adapt to in order to comfortably serve customers and guests. Now there is an easy, reliable, flexible way to overcome the most common headaches of outdoor venues. Travel EASY Decks provide a firm, steady walking platform that both elevates and accommodates common outdoor topography issues. No more uneven ground that can quickly turn to mud puddles or navigating over rough rocky ground that can cause one to loose their footing. Travel EASY Decks provide a comfortable area for both you and your clientele to enjoy no matter where your located. The portable, expandable Travel EASY Decks system is simply perfect for both work or play
JnK knows that their expandable, adjustable, light-weight Travel EASY Decks are great for the RV/travel trailer type and that campers can readily see the multiple, easy to achieve comfort benefits Travel EASY Decks provide. We know that hunters and ATV enthusiasts can see Travel EASY Decks value within their preferred arena as well by not only being a safe way to keep dangerous wildlife visible but also as a great wash-down location for their toys. But what about those of you that work just as hard as we play? Yes, we are talking YOU . . . the trades-day vendor, the outdoor event planners, and even the concession stand owners. Want to see how you too can benefit from the versatility and portability of Travel EASY Decks?
Let us start with the trades-day vendors. Although JnK hasn’t traveled from state to state attending trades-day events (yet), we have attended several within our home state and can quickly see that no matter the weather - 110˚ and dirt-bowl dry or 45˚ with 6” of rain falling – trades-day weekends rarely close due to weather and are always laid out in a field somewhere so that every booth has a dirt floor. How much nicer would your vending experience be if your booth had an elevated floor that could 1) get YOU and your MERCHANDISE up out of the dirt, 2) could expand to accommodate whatever booth configuration was beneficial for you no matter the show location while 3) not restricting disabled or injured customers from browsing and buying? THAT'S what Travel EASY Decks can bring to your next booth.
How about you, event planners? How many of you have been charged with some grand event that wasn’t capable of rescheduling due to weather and had to resort to spreading out hay or sawdust to tame the mud? What about the redundant need for hay bales on the edges of the tent to help deflect rain, run-off and that “skirt-lifting” wind. Wouldn’t a piece of equipment that could overcome muddy, uneven ground, replace the recurrent expense of hay bales with the flexibility to configure entertaining areas and/or buffet line walkways while keeping your attendees clean, dry and on firm, stable ground be of great use for you? THAT'S what Travel EASY Decks can bring to your next outdoor event.
And the concession and fruit stand owners . . . we see you too! Setting up small trailers or building temporary “barns” selling everything from BBQ pork to coconut flavored snow cones. To make your area accommodating for patrons you kindly setup a picnic table or two with some beach umbrellas for shade. But what about giving your patrons a clean, litter free, bug free (read: non-sticky, spill-free, out of the dirt and grass) area to order, wait, and even enjoy your products from? You can cut down on the amount of biting flies your guests encounter by just getting them off the ground while ordering! And, since your both seasonal and sometimes nomadic, Travel EASY Decks are even more beneficial because at the end of the season or change of location, load us in your stand and we’ll be ready to serve you again with no fuss, no muss!
There is no other product out there that can provide so many outdoor venues with a quick, easy, expandable, adjustable, firm, and steady solution to common location issues. Check us out at www.traveleasydecks.com or contact us directly at 903/267-1080 or 214/912-5136. We look forward to helping you make YOUR job location a BETTER location.

Travel EASY Decks: What Camping Is Like WITH Them
In order to understand the usefulness of Travel EASY Decks you must first understand the mud and muck experiences of the inventors. You will quickly see how adding a portable decking system to their camping equipment list became a crucial priority.
Before the development of Travel EASY’s portable, adjustable, and expandable decking system any camping trip could be as messy as the ATV trip mentioned yesterday. Below you will read how just one Travel EASY Deck – a.k.a. The Travel EASY STEP – can be as vital in making your camping trip as comfortably complete as campfires and marshmallow’s.
Fast forward a bit from the camping trip with 4-wheelers and muddy West Texas landscape to 4th of July, lakeside camping in baron, Southwest Oklahoma (Are you beginning to see a topography trend here?). Once again, even in the middle of summer, the camping trip turned into a rain soaked adventure. (Should we mention our camping friends came along for this trip too? Nah . . . you probably already guessed, right?)
We arrived at our campsite after a 5 hour haul through a steady downpour thinking the entire way “Happy we didn’t bring the boat. Happy we didn’t bring the boat!”(To those of you that don’t know, we don’t let the inside of the boat get wet . . . EVER . . . and people tease us to the point that it is a running joke with us now.) Luckily, by the time we reach our site there is a lull in the rain. Just long enough to comfortably set up camp in high humidity and pretty muddy surroundings. At least the campsite was equipped with a trailer pad. It was just everywhere else that was difficult to stay reasonably clean through.
As is common in many camping locations, this particular spot had an erosion spot directly off of the trailer step. This spot created a fairly large “last step” when exiting the trailer so we laid our lone Travel EASY Deck proto-type right there. Perfect! Now there wasn’t that dreaded “doosie” step when exiting the trailer and we had extended the area of the concrete pad making for a more comfortable location to enter from as well. The step positioned flatly in with the depth of the concrete so there was no fear of tripping over it either.
Fortunately, we were all set up before it started to rain again. Unfortunately . . . it didn’t stop! This was where our first official Travel EASY Deck “test” – actually, since we had only one proto-type with us at the time, it was more of a Travel EASY Step test – took place.
A few hours and many, many major water dumps from both the canopy and awning later we were ready to step out of the soggy grass and onto something solid. Unfortunately, we only had one Travel EASY Deck section and 8 full grown people. Being family though, all 8 of us huddled like a football team on that 8 sq ft section.
This is when we noticed just how useful and effective our invention actually was. First of all, we were impressed that all 8 of us fit on the 8 sq ft deck section without having to tie us all together to stay on. Second, we were excited that it was sturdy and, even with the rain saturated ground; it didn’t sink down under our collective weight. And third, its height adjustment successfully kept us all out of the ankle deep water that had collected in this seemingly ordinary erosion hole which, in turn, helped keep the trailer clean and dry upon entry. It worked just the way we had developed it to . . . GREAT!
Yep! Camping with a full arsenal of Travel EASY Decks was going to be a must!

Travel EASY Decks: What Camping Was Like Without Them
If you are an active camper you have, inevitably, been caught at some point in the rain. You don’t even have to be an active camper, some of our friends who rarely ever camp continually enjoy a shower or two whenever they go with us – it’s like a tradition now and we laugh about it.
One of the most memorable times we’ve camped in the rain was the weekend we decided to take the 5th wheel and 4-wheelers for a weekend of off-road play.
The preceding week had been nothing but comfortable temps and sun-filled days but, like many spring weekends in Texas, by Friday it was cloudy and a bit chilly. Luckily, our friends are troopers and the weather didn’t cancel the trip.
We arrived at the dirt road that leads to our camp 3 more miles in during a steady but light rain. The soil there is gushy, mushy clay and makes for a mess when wet so we didn’t make it to the official “camp”, instead we made an impromptu one just inside the property gate.
Still eager to enjoy our ATV ride no matter what the weather, we unload the quads, don some ponchos and “mount-up”. Riding on mud-slick roads, up and over hills and through an obstacle course of huge rocks, mesquite tree’s and grazing cows was quite interesting in the rain – someone should seriously invent windshield wipers for sunglasses just for such occasions – but it was a BLAST! We had free reign on 2,000+ acres and totally enjoyed finding new and rarely visited areas in the thickest parts of the property.
After a full 3-4 hours of non-stop riding in a constant, soft rain made for a fun, muddy mess to say the least. The quads were covered from tire to handlebars with mud. The backseat passenger had a nice even mud-sprinkle pattern from their rear to the top of their head and everybody’s mud boots were dripping mud. Boy, we had a GREAT time making that mess!
It wasn’t until we returned to the 5th wheel that that “good time mess” became an “ugh!” and “yuck!” mess. We were scrapping up old towels for both stepping on to remove muddy shoes, pants, and poncho’s to newer towels to dry hair, face, and plot at the spots on our clothes that escaped the protection of the poncho.
Being a bit of a clean freak, our trailer is decorated with several washable rugs to begin with but those quickly became wet and muddy. More towels were scavenged to cover the rugs just so we could walk around inside without making everything else wet – including all the parts of us we just dried!
Needless to say, we ran out of towels, continued to find muddy wet spots with our socked feet and, if it wasn’t for being close friends, we would have had some bad attitudes by night fall.

Travel EASY Decks: Extending the comforts of home to wherever you go!
When we were younger we enjoyed some true “roughing-it” adventures. We slept in tents without cots or padded floors, very carefully bathed in bottled water, and made the best food over an open campfire with a sharpened stick as a fork, spoon, and tongs!
After several trips, our roughing-it arsenal of supplies increased. We eventually had a “pantry tent” with large Rubbermaid boxes we used as our “cupboards”, several water jugs filled specifically for washing dishes, brushing teeth, and a more thorough bathing experience – it was getting harder and harder to fit in those water bottles! We created an actual sink out of some pantry “drawers”, we found a campstove that still made great meals but let us keep our eyebrows intact, and we purchased camping pads to lighten the pressure of those persistent rocks and wayward sticks that inevitably relocated themselves directly under the tent after set-up.
As we matured our camping style changed and so did our roughing-it arsenal. The “pantry” eventually morphed into a motor home then a travel trailer which changed the “cupboards” from toolboxes to real particle boards hanging from the ceiling with drawers under a separate plastic sink. We stopped lugging in 20 gallons of water by hand and we had real a shower! But, seriously, the change from sleeping bags over rocks to a plush queen sized bed with sheets was a day for celebration.
We continue to enjoy camping, even more so it seems with the luxuries of a trailer, but quickly discovered that, with the inside comforts handled, we needed to do something about the outside comforts. We were tired of dealing with mud, gravel, holes, and bugs right outside our camper but we really didn’t care to go camping on concrete so we developed our portable, expandable, and adjustable, deck specifically for recreational use for anywhere you want to go!
Now our campsites are complete. We have a healthy balance of nature, home, and outdoor comfort with little effort. Our deck only adds 10-15 minutes to our set-up/take-down time (depending on how large we want to make our comfortable outdoor area) and required little re-organizing of the trailers compartments to make room for them. And even if we don’t take the travel trailer they fit nicely in the bed of the truck so we can take them anywhere we want to create some outdoor comfort away from mud, gravel, holes, and bugs.

Travel Easy Decks at the Dallas Boat show
Travel easy decks set up a booth at the Dallas Summer Boat Show. We took 9 of our portable decks out and set the decks up for display as a patio. The patio consisted of 8 portable decks connected together with 15 height adjustable legs. The patio was 8' X 8' taking up most of our 10' X 10' booth.
We had many visitors looking at our portable decks that we had assembled into a patio. We also had one portable deck on display so people could pick the deck up to test the weight and see exactly how the height adjustable legs attached to each deck to form a patio, porch or walkway. It was kind of funny to see people come up and look at the porch but thought they should not step on it.
The most intriguing thing that happened over and over again was, people kept asking if they could park their cars or boats on them. We had to constantly explain this deck was designed for people to make a walkway, porch, or patio not a drive way.
